How can Dactari help?
Domestic abuse: what you need to know
If you are new to domestic abuse work, we would recommend the Foundation in Domestic Abuse Counselling. This can be followed by specific sessions from the Expert Series which provide a more in-depth look at the issues which can arise with some clients. For those who already have some experience with domestic abuse counselling, our Expert Series offers a range of courses to supplement or enhance your current learning. These can be taken to suit your needs as a practitioner. See below for some of the practitioner feedback received from previous delegates.
In addition, we offer a range of downloadable courses, based on the Expert Series. These provide
knowledge but without the tutorials, case studies and/or role plays within our in-person
courses.
We offer two types of online, in-person, experiential training:
- The Foundation in Domestic Abuse Counselling, which provides everything you need to start domestic abuse counselling and is taught in a cohort over 4-days;
- The Expert Series, which is an in-depth series of topics which can be helpful for developing your knowledge and skills in domestic abuse counselling and can be booked for the days offered.
